Softball Recap: Englewood Comes Up Short

Englewood was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 17-0 to the Fletcher Senators. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Senators this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 17-0 last Monday.

Englewood's defeat dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Fletcher, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-8.

Coming up, Englewood will head out to challenge Wolfson at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Rams' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Wolfpack have averaged an impressive 13.6 runs per game this season. As for Fletcher, they will welcome Fernandina Beach at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Pirates will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something the Senators surely won't give up without a fight.
