Recap: Bishop Fenwick Falcons vs. Monroe Hornets
The Bishop Fenwick Falcons waltzed into their match on Tuesday with two straight wins but they left with three. They managed a 47-42 win over Monroe. Given Bishop Fenwick's advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 84th, while Monroe is ranked 446th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Bailey Temming continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 16 points along with eight blocks and six rebounds. He has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last eight times he's played. Shaefer Janeck was another key contributor, scoring 12 points.
Bishop Fenwick's victory bumped their record up to 13-7. As for Monroe, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-11 record this season.
Bishop Fenwick didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 55-46 win vs. Chaminade Julienne Catholic on the 9th. Monroe has also already played their next match, a 72-55 win against Edgewood on the 9th.
