Football Recap: Lutheran Takes a Loss

Lutheran was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss dating back to last season. They had to suffer through a 77-0 loss at the hands of the Byron Tigers. While losing is never fun, the Crusaders can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois football rankings (they are ranked 418th, while the Tigers are ranked 27th).

Lutheran's defeat dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Byron, the win keeps them at an undefeated 8-0.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Lutheran will challenge rival Rock Falls at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Byron is set to square off against their familiar foe North Boone at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
