Volleyball Recap: Pine City Comes Up Short

Pine City was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Farmington Tigers.

Taylor Tollefson paced Pine City's offense, picking up eight kills. Tollefson got some help from Taylar Hejny and her 11 assists.

Pine City's loss dropped their record down to 1-8-1. As for Farmington, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-3.

Coming up, Pine City will challenge East Central at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Farmington, they will venture away from home to square off against Lakeville North at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
