Baseball Game Preview: Devine Warhorses vs. Pleasanton Eagles

The Devine Warhorses are taking a road trip to take on the Pleasanton Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Devine has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the game with three straight defeats, while Pleasanton will come in with five straight wins.

Last Friday, Devine didn't have quite enough to beat Carrizo Springs and fell 10-9. That's two games in a row now that the Warhorses have lost by just one run.

Carson Suhr made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run while going 4-for-4. Those four hits gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Alfredo Ramirez, who scored a run while going 2-for-5.

Even though they lost, Devine was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .459. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Carrizo Springs only posted a batting average of .333.

Meanwhile, Pleasanton made easy work of East Central on Saturday and carried off a 9-1 victory.

Devine's loss dropped their record down to 5-7-1. As for Pleasanton, their win bumped their record up to 11-3.

Devine couldn't quite finish off Pleasanton when the teams last played back in April of 2024 and fell 5-3. Can Devine avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
