The Millers Creek Christian Lions won a close one the last time they played, but unfortunately they suffered a serious change of fortune on Friday. They suffered a tough 51-30 loss at the hands of Triad Baptist Christian Academy. Millers Creek Christian has not had much luck with the Titans recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
When it comes to explaining why Millers Creek Christian lost, one person who can't be blamed is JADYN COTHREN. Despite the final result, she scored eight points along with three steals.
Millers Creek Christian has not been sharp recently as the team's lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-5 record this season. As for Triad Baptist Christian Academy, their win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 11-8.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Millers Creek Christian will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on the Barracudas at 6:00 p.m. on February 13th. As for Triad Baptist Christian Academy, they will stay at home for another game and welcome the Conqueror at 6:00 p.m. on February 5th. Community Baptist will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps North Carolina Rankings (they are ranked 535th, while the Titans are ranked 256th).
