Basketball Game Preview: Whitewright Tigers vs. Wolfe City Wolves

The Whitewright Tigers will take on the Wolfe City Wolves at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The timing is sure in Whitewright's favor as the team sits on three straight wins at home while Wolfe City has been banged up by seven consecutive losses on the road.

Last Tuesday, Whitewright came up short against Sam Rayburn and fell 48-40.

Meanwhile, Wolfe City ended up a good deal behind Celeste on Tuesday and lost 52-37.

Despite the defeat, Wolfe City saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Noah Adams dropped a double-double on 15 points and ten rebounds. Adams has been hot for a while, having posted eight or more boards the last 19 times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Anthony ALDANA, who posted eight points.

Whitewright's loss ended a seven-game streak of away wins and brought them to 23-4. As for Wolfe City, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-21.

Everything came up roses for Whitewright against Wolfe City in their previous meeting on January 7th, as the squad secured a 68-30 win. In that match, Whitewright amassed a halftime lead of 34-14, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Friday.
