Basketball Recap: Islands Comes Up Short

Islands was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their 18th straight defeat dating back to last season. They took a 33-18 bruising from the Savannah Country Day Hornets. If the Sharks were looking for revenge after losing 41-31 to them when the teams met, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Savannah Country Day's victory bumped their record up to 6-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Islands will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Johnson at 6:00 p.m. on January 17, 2025. Savannah Country Day will also get a bit of a break before their next matchup: they'll face off against Hilton Head Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on January 3, 2025.
