Volleyball Recap: Richmond Senior Takes a Loss + How To Watch

After flying high against Pine Forest on Thursday, Richmond Senior came back down to earth. The Raiders fell just short of the Jack Britt Buccaneers by a score of 3-2 on Tuesday. The Raiders were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Buccaneers earlier this season, when they won 3-2.

Richmond Senior wouldn't go down easily and took Jack Britt into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking two-point loss. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 23-25, 25-11, 25-18, 23-25, 18-16.

Despite the loss, Richmond Senior still got an impressive performance from Kenley Smith, who had 16 digs and four aces. Smith is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 12 or more in each of the last nine games she's played.

Richmond Senior's loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 10-7. As for Jack Britt, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-8 record this season.

Richmond Senior will host Hoke County at 6:15 p.m. on Thursday. As for Jack Britt, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 3-0 win against St. Pauls on the 1st.
