Preview: Crossroads Charter Academy Cougars vs. Mesick Bulldogs
The Crossroads Charter Academy Cougars will head out on the road to face off against the Mesick Bulldogs at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Crossroads Charter Academy will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.
Last Tuesday, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Crossroads Charter Academy beat Marion 48-43.
Meanwhile, Mesick lost to Pentwater on the road by a decisive 53-36 margin on Wednesday. Mesick has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Mesick's defeat came about despite a quality game from Kayla McCoy, who scored 28 points along with five steals. McCoy hasn't dropped below two steals for seven straight games. Rylee Blach was another key contributor, scoring five points along with five rebounds.
Crossroads Charter Academy's win bumped their record up to 8-2. As for Mesick, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-6.
Crossroads Charter Academy was able to grind out a solid win over Mesick when the teams last played back in March of 2023, winning 36-25. Does Crossroads Charter Academy have another victory up their sleeve, or will Mesick turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
