Volleyball Recap: Aubrey Rogers Takes a Loss

Aubrey Rogers was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against the Canterbury Cougars, falling 3-0. The Patriots were not able to make up for their defeat to the Cougars from their previous meeting back in October of 2024.

While Aubrey Rogers was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-10, 25-22, 25-19.

Their offense was headlined by Emily Hyrczyk and Ava Wall, who picked up seven kills apiece. They got some help from Chiara Gagliano and her 15 assists. Wall was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

Aubrey Rogers' loss dropped their record down to 8-10. As for Canterbury, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 8-8.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Aubrey Rogers will welcome Bonita Springs at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Canterbury, they will face off against Community School of Naples at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
