While Westmont's win against Leland wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Warriors narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Chargers 3-2. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 16-6 back in April.

Regan Steele spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned runs on seven hits and racked up ten Ks. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 15 consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Westmont's win was truly a team effort as three different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Lily Ortiz, who went 1-for-3 with two runs.

Westmont's record now sits at 13-14. As for Leland, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-12 record this season.

Westmont will look to defend their home field on the 24th against Los Altos at 12:00 p.m. The Eagles will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something the Warriors surely won't give up without a fight. Leland does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
