It was a good run, but Monarch unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Monday. They lost 69-45 to the McArthur Mustangs. The Knights were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Mustangs apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in December of 2024.

Monarch's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Isiah Phillip, who posted 20 points and three steals, and Nikyle Campbell, who went 5-for-8 on his way to 11 points along with eight rebounds and four steals. Phillip also put up two boards, which were his first of the season. Another player making a difference was Rickenson Bozier, who scored four points and eight rebounds.

Monarch's loss dropped their record down to 3-2. As for McArthur, they now also have a winning record of 3-2.

Monarch has already played their next game, a 71-31 defeat against West Broward on the 9th. As for McArthur, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, an 81-40 victory against Hallandale on the 9th.
