Despite the defeat, Saint John Paul the Great Catholic saw an underclassman step up: freshman Aylani Andrade almost dropped a double-double on 12 points and nine boards. Those 12 points set a new season-high mark for Andrade. Maggie Dake also deserves some recognition as she grabbed her first steal of the season.

Meanwhile, Seton had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 23.7 points) and they went ahead and made it four on Thursday. They were the clear victor by a 57-31 margin over the Gryphons. The Conquistadors have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven matches by 20 points or more this season.

Seton's win bumped their record up to 11-3. As for Saint John Paul the Great Catholic, their loss dropped their record down to 4-7.
