Volleyball Recap: Ayer Shirley Has No Trouble Against Southbridge

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Shepherd Hill Regional, Ayer Shirley was happy to have turned things around on Wednesday. They blew past the Southbridge Pioneers 3-0. The Panthers were shut out 3-0 the last time they took on the Pioneers, so the Panthers were just returning the favor.

One reason for the win was Ayer Shirley's just kept getting better, winning each set by more points than the last. The final score came out to 25-21, 25-17, 25-15.

Ayer Shirley's win bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Southbridge, their defeat was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-4.

Looking ahead, Ayer Shirley will square off against Burncoat at 4:45 p.m. on Monday. As for Southbridge, they will venture away from home to challenge Notre Dame Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
