Volleyball Recap: Tazewell Comes Up Short

Tazewell was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss. They lost 3-0 to the Grundy Golden Wave. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Golden Wave this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in September.

Tazewell was the model of consistency in the loss, scoring zero points in every single set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-0, 25-0, 25-0.

Tazewell's defeat dropped their record down to 2-13. As for Grundy, they are on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 13 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-5 record this season.

Tazewell will venture away from home to square off against Virginia High at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Grundy, they will welcome Hurley at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
