            The Selma Bears will challenge the Legacy Christian Academy Lions at 4:30  p.m.  on Monday. Selma's pitching crew has only allowed four  runs per game  this season, so Legacy Christian Academy's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
Legacy Christian Academy will be up against a hot Selma  squad: the  team just extended their winning streak to three. The Bears blew past Hanford West 7-1 on Thursday. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last five times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.
 Jovani Tovar made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he  pitched one inning while giving up   no  earned runs or  hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't  given up  more than one  earned run in seven consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate,  going 2-for-3 with one  double and one  RBI.
 In other batting news,  Matthew Esparza was  excellent,  getting on base  in three of his four plate appearances with one  stolen base and one  run.  Jacob Hernandez was another key player,  going 1-for-3 with two  RBI and one  run.
Meanwhile, Legacy Christian Academy didn't have quite enough to beat Kennedy on Thursday and fell  4-3.
  Lincoln Brown made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and  went 2-for-3 with three  stolen bases and one  run.
 Legacy Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 12-6-1. As for Selma, their victory bumped their record up to 15-7.
