Softball Recap: Belleville Comes Up Short

Belleville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They fell 7-3 to the Columbus Cardinals. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Cardinals this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 5-3 on May 5th.

Belleville saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Bryn Prochaska, who went 1-for-3 with one run. Another was Jocelyn Raven, who got on base in two of her three plate appearances with two runs.

Belleville's loss dropped their record down to 3-15. As for Columbus, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 6-15.

As of now, neither Belleville nor the Cardinals have any future games scheduled.
