Softball Recap: Dillon Triumphs

It was a proper cat-fight when Dillon duked it out with Wilson on Tuesday. The Wildcats walked away with an 11-7 victory over the Tigers. With that win, the Wildcats brought their scoring average up to 6.2 runs per game.

Makenna Meekins was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with three stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI. Those four hits gave her a new career-high. Kanyla Tanksley was another key player, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with three runs, one triple, and one stolen base.

Dillon's victory bumped their record up to 10-12. As for Wilson, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 9-8.

Looking ahead, Dillon will be playing in front of their home fans against Marion at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Wilson does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
