Football Recap: St. Xavier Continues Home Dominance on Friday

St. Xavier won the last time they faced Centerville and things went their way on Friday too. The Bombers came out on top against the Elks by a score of 20-7. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Bombers' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio football rankings (they are ranked fourth, while the Elks are ranked 41st).

St. Xavier's win was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 2-0. Those home victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 6.6 points on average over those games. As for Centerville, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. St. Xavier is headed away from home for the first time to square off against Cathedral at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Centerville, they will head out to challenge Carmel at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
