Valley put another one in the bag on Saturday to keep their perfect season alive. They came out on top against the Cleburne County Tigers by a score of 6-2.

Valley let Carter Green and Ty Monteith run wild. Green scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-3, while Monteith scored a run and stole two bases while going 3-for-4. Monteith has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played. Another player making a difference was Cole House, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one stolen base.

Valley's victory was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 10-0. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.2 runs on average over those games. As for Cleburne County, the defeat snapped their winning streak at six games and leaves them with a 6-2 record.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Valley will challenge Marbury at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. We've got a battle between Tigers coming up. The last three games Handley has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
