Lafayette Central Catholic had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They were the clear victors by a 13-1 margin over the Rensselaer Central Bombers on Wednesday. Considering the Knights have won 11 matches by more than five runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Lafayette Central Catholic has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 13 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 23-5 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.1 runs on average over those games. As for Rensselaer Central, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-16.
