Basketball Recap: Carlisle Snags Seventh Victory in Last Nine Games

Carlisle proved they can win big last Friday (they won by 43) and on Monday they proved they can win the close ones too. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Augusta Red Devils 45-43. That's more bragging rights for the Bison, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Carlisle has also been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 15-11 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 50.7 points per game. As for Augusta, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 12-7 record this season.

Carlisle will host Des Arc at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The timing is sure in Carlisle's favor as the squad sits on five straight wins at home while Des Arc has been banged up by five consecutive losses on the road. Augusta has already played their next contest (against Bradford), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
