The Pinellas Park Patriots will take on the Hollins Royals at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Pinellas Park is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9.2 runs per game this season.

Pinellas Park's tournament run continued when they took on Canterbury on Saturday. Pinellas Park fell 8-4 to Canterbury.

Danielle Overman was cooking despite her team's loss, going 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, one double, and one RBI. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last four games she's played. Another player making a difference was Khloe Birk, who scored two runs while going 3-for-4.

Meanwhile, Hollins was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 11-2 to Osceola. The game marked the Royals' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Gianna Close made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 3-for-3 with one double and one RBI. Ava Vargas was another key player, scoring two runs while going 1-for-2.

Pinellas Park now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Hollins, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-4.

Hollins' pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Pinellas Park has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 9.2 hits per game. It's a different story for Hollins, though, as they've been averaging 10.5 hits. Given Pinellas Park's sizable advantage in that area, Hollins will need to find a way to close that gap.

Pinellas Park suffered a grim 15-6 defeat to Hollins when the teams last played back in April of 2024. Can Pinellas Park avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
