Basketball Recap: Seaside's Win Ends Four-Game Losing Streak on the Road

Seaside posted their closest win since February 13th on Monday. They had just enough and edged the Marist Spartans out 46-43. The victory was all the more spectacular given the Seagulls' disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oregon basketball rankings (they are ranked 232nd, while the Spartans are ranked 24th).

Seaside's win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 2-7. As for Marist, their loss ended an eight-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 5-3.

Seaside will be taking part in a tournament against North Marion at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Marist, they will venture away from home to square off against Cascade at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Cascade will roll in looking for their eighth straight victory, something Marist surely won't give up without a fight.
