Baseball Recap: Box Elder Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Box Elder can now relate to. They fell just short of the Woods Cross Wildcats by a score of 10-8 on Friday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Bees have suffered since April 23, 2025.

Box Elder saw nine different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Korbin Jeppesen, who went 2-for-5 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. Jeppesen is becoming a predictor of the Bees' success: when he posts at least two runs the team is 7-1 (and 3-15 when he doesn't). Another was Korver Smith, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

Box Elder's defeat dropped their record down to 10-16. As for Woods Cross, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 13 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-10 record this season.

As of now, neither Box Elder nor Woods Cross have any future games scheduled.
