Lane was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat dating back to last season. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 5-4 heartbreaker at the hands of the Flushing Red Devils. On the bright side, the four- run effort marked the Knights' highest-scoring contest to date.

Lane's loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Flushing, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lane will face off against Jamaica at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Flushing, they will look to defend their home field on Wednesday against Beach Channel at 4:00 p.m.
