Softball Recap: Hilliard Davidson Comes Up Short

Hilliard Davidson was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 13-8 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Brunswick Blue Devils. If the Wildcats were looking for revenge after losing 11-2 to the Blue Devils when the teams met back in April of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Hilliard Davidson's loss dropped their record down to 4-7. As for Brunswick, their victory bumped their record up to 7-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hilliard Davidson will take on Hilliard Bradley at 5:15 p.m. on Monday. As for Brunswick, they will head out to challenge Shaker Heights at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Blue Devils' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Red Raiders have averaged an impressive 9.4 runs per game this season.
