Basketball Recap: Friday Harbor's Losing Streak Snapped at 13 Games

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Friday Harbor). They breezed by the Darrington Loggers to the tune of 86-47 on Tuesday. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Wolverines as it put an end to their 13-game losing streak dating back to last season.

Pierce Kleine was his usual excellent self, going 13 for 26 en route to 36 points. The game was his 15th in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Mamadou Hoskins, who went 5 of 8 on his way to 11 points.

Friday Harbor's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-11. As for Darrington, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-7 record this season.

Friday Harbor has already played their next contest, a 59-58 victory against Orcas Island on the 17th. As for Darrington, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 63-51 loss against Coupeville on the 17th.
