Basketball Game Preview: Pine Bluff Zebras vs. Benton Panthers

Pine Bluff is 0-10 against Benton since February of 2016 but things could change on Friday. The Pine Bluff Zebras will be playing in front of their home fans against the Benton Panthers at 6:00 p.m.

Pine Bluff is headed into Friday's match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their 43rd straight game dating back to last season on Tuesday. They were outmatched by White Hall and fell 51-19. While losing is never fun, the Zebras can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Arkansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 246th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 80th).

Meanwhile, Benton came tearing into Tuesday's contest with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 20.5 points) and they left with even more momentum. They put the hurt on the Trojans with a sharp 59-33 win. The Panthers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven games by 20 points or more this season.

Pine Bluff's defeat dropped their record down to 0-25. As for Benton, their victory bumped their record up to 15-7.
