Volleyball Recap: Galena Park Comes Up Short

The Galena Park Yellowjackets came up short against the Longview Lobos on Thursday and fell 2-0.

Naihlyn Perez paced Galena Park's offense, picking up four kills. Perez got some help from Abigail Berrones and her five assists.

Leading Longview to victory were Landry Tubb and My'Niah Gouldsby. Tubb had 12 digs and three assists, while Gouldsby had four digs and three aces. That's the most digs Tubb has posted over her last two matchups.

Galena Park now has a losing record of 5-6. As for Longview, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-5 record this season.

Galena Park has already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against Ball on the 23rd. As for Longview, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-1 victory against Nederland on the 23rd.
