Football Game Preview: Carthage Comets vs. Whitesboro Warriors

The Carthage Comets will challenge the Whitesboro Warriors at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Carthage's defense has only allowed 11.9 points per game this season, so Whitesboro's offense will have their work cut out for them.

On Thursday, Carthage strolled past Auburn with points to spare, taking the game 21-3. The Comets haven't had any issues with the Maroons recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Whitesboro). They took their game on Thursday with ease, bagging a 49-21 win over Central Square. The result was nothing new for the Warriors, who have now won six matchups by 21 points or more so far this season.

Carthage's victory bumped their record up to 7-2. As for Whitesboro, their win bumped their record up to 8-1.

Carthage ended up a good deal behind Whitesboro in their previous matchup last Friday, losing 28-12. Can the Comets avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
