Basketball Recap: Washburn Comes Up Short

Washburn was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were beaten by the Hastings Raiders 67-38. The Millers lost against the Raiders in their previous head to head back in February, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the 57-52 score last time.

Washburn's defeat dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Hastings, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

Washburn will venture away from home to square off against St. Paul Central at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Washburn is facing St. Paul Central at the right time seeing as St. Paul Central is stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Hastings, they will be home for the holidays to greet Mahtomedi at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hastings has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
