Basketball Game Preview: Lawrenceville Indians vs. Casey-Westfield Warriors

The Lawrenceville Indians will venture away from home to face off against the Casey-Westfield Warriors at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Lawrenceville is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last 12 games.

Last Tuesday, everything went Lawrenceville's way against Red Hill as Lawrenceville made off with a 74-51 win. The Indians have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 12 contests by 20 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Casey-Westfield lost to Teutopolis at home by a 47-33 margin on Tuesday. The Warriors have struggled against the Wooden Shoes recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Lawrenceville will have to contain Hayden Parcel as he made an impact in Casey-Westfield's last game. He went 11-for-22 to rack up 27 points along with six rebounds and four steals. What's more, Parcel also posted a 50% three-point shooting accuracy, which is the highest he's posted since back in December of 2024.

Even though they lost, Casey-Westfield smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 12 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in seven consecutive games.

Lawrenceville's victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 21-6. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.0 points over those games. As for Casey-Westfield, their defeat dropped their record down to 16-7.
