Basketball Recap: Ripley Takes a Loss

Ripley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They were one points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 50-49 heartbreaker at the hands of the Nettleton Tigers. Ripley was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Nettleton apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in January of 2016.

Ripley's loss dropped their record down to 2-12. As for Nettleton, their victory ended a ten-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 1-8.

Ripley wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 49-40 win against Corinth on the 30th. As for Nettleton, a feisty cat fight will be fought when the Nettleton Tigers face off against the Potts Camp Cardinals at 11:00 a.m. on Friday.
