Issaquah has gone a perfect 3-0 against Hazen recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Saturday. The Eagles will be playing in front of their home fans against the Highlanders at 6:00 p.m. Issaquah's pitching crew has only allowed 3.3 runs per game this season, so Hazen's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
Issaquah took a loss when they played away from home on Wednesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Thursday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand Mount Si a 1-0 shutout. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Eagles as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

| 04/11/25 @ Lake Washington | 1 |
The result came thanks to Hudson Carvalho's shutout, as he gave up just two hits and racked up 11 Ks. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Issaquah is 3-1 when he allows at most one earned run, but 6-7 otherwise.
At the plate, Issaquah secured the win behind a pair of hitters. One of them was Seika Saito, who went 1-for-3 with one double.
Meanwhile, Hazen hadn't done well against Mercer Island recently (they were 1-7 in their previous eight matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Highlanders put the hurt on the Islanders with a sharp 8-0 victory. The result was nothing new for the Highlanders, who have now won five games by six runs or more so far this season.
Mercer Island's batters probably weren't too happy with Sam Nicholson, who pitched a no hitter and racked up 12 Ks (he gave up zero walks). Nicholson has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Rydan Corwin was incredible, going 3-for-4 with three stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Alvin Chang, who went 1-for-3 with three stolen bases, two RBI, and one run.
Hazen's win bumped their record up to 6-8-1. As for Issaquah, they now have a winning record of 9-8.
Issaquah took their victory against Hazen in their previous matchup back in June of 2021 by a conclusive 6-0 score. Will the Eagles repeat their success, or do the Highlanders have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
