Softball Recap: Ferguson Falcons vs. West Boca Raton Bulls
Ferguson came into their game on Saturday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 13-4 to the West Boca Raton Bulls.
Amaya Santamaria made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with two triples, two RBI, and one run. Those two triples gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Bianca Lugaro, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3.
Ferguson's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 6-4. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.7 runs on average over those games. As for West Boca Raton, their victory ended a nine-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 1-6.
Looking ahead, Ferguson will be playing in front of their home fans against Satellite at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday.
