Volleyball Recap: Saugerties Comes Up Short

Saugerties was the 3-0 winner over Roosevelt when they last played one another on September 11th, but their luck changed this time around. The Sawyers fell just short of the Presidents by a score of 3-2 on Tuesday.

In a back-and-forth that saw neither team win consecutive sets, Saugerties sadly dropped the once that decided the match. The final score came out to 26-24, 18-25, 25-17, 20-25, 16-14.

Saugerties' defeat dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Roosevelt, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 7-4-1.

Coming up, Saugerties is taking a road trip to challenge Chatham at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Roosevelt, they will face off against Haldane at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
