Baseball Recap: Century Comes Up Short

Century was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They lost 12-2 to the Thunder Ridge Titans. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Titans this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 5-2 on Saturday.

Jaxton Humphries made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with one home run.

Century's loss dropped their record down to 3-8. As for Thunder Ridge, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-5.

Coming up, Century will head out on the road to take on Blackfoot at 3:30 p.m. on Monday. Century's pitchers better be ready for this one: Blackfoot has averaged an impressive 9 runs per game this season. As for Thunder Ridge, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Canyon Ridge at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Thunder Ridge is facing Canyon Ridge at the right time seeing as Canyon Ridge is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
