Cupertino had already won five in a row and they went ahead and made it six on Saturday. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Hollister Haybalers. The Pioneers were shut out 2-0 the last time they took on the Haybalers, so the Pioneers were just returning the favor.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Cupertino to victory, but perhaps none more so than Claire Chien, who had seven digs, three aces, and one block. The dominant performance also gave Chien a new career-high in assists (20). Another player making a difference was Natalie Baker, who had nine digs and two aces.

Cupertino's record now sits at 14-5. As for Hollister, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-7 record this season.

Cupertino has already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against Seaside on the 4th. As for Hollister, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 victory against Santa Teresa on the 4th.
