Lincoln waltzed into their matchup  on Friday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They came within a single  point of losing the streak, but they secured  a   28-27 W against the Bear River Bruins. For the Fighting Zebras, this counts as revenge for the   27-21 win the Bruins walked away with the last time they faced one another  back in October of 2024.
 Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Lincoln to victory, but perhaps none more so than   Eli Duff, who threw for 110 yards and two  TDs, and also rushed for 38 yards and one  touchdown. Another player making a difference was  Brock Galer, who gained 107 total yards and two touchdowns.
 Despite the loss, Bear River still got an impressive performance from   Sean Kinney, who rushed for 138 yards and three  scores.
Lincoln's victory bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Bear River, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-3.
 Both  teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lincoln will host Oakmont  at 7:15  p.m.  on Friday. That  game will pit two of the most dominant  signal callers against one another:  Galer and  Elijah Stevens. As for Bear River, they will take on Marysville at 7:15  p.m.  on Friday. The Indians' defense has only allowed 14.3  points per game  this season, so the Bruins' offense will have their work cut out for them.
