Baseball Recap: Norwell Extends Winning Streak to Four

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Norwell had no problem doing just that on Monday. They were the clear victors by a 15-8 margin over the Bellmont Braves. Considering the Knights have won ten games by more than six runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Drew Graft was incredible, going 3-for-5 with one home run, three runs, and one stolen base. He is becoming a predictor of Norwell's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is undefeated (and 9-11 when he doesn't). Logan Cotton was another key player, going 3-for-4 with two RBI and one run.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Norwell kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 17 hits. That's the most hits they've posted since back in April of 2024.

The win (which was Norwell's fourth in a row) raised their record to 17-11. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.0 runs over those games. As for Bellmont, they moved to 12-14 with that loss, which also ended their seven-game winning streak.

As of now, neither Norwell nor the Braves have any future games scheduled.
