Football Preview: Lafayette Commodores vs. Pontotoc Warriors

The Lafayette Commodores will head out to challenge the Pontotoc Warriors at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Lafayette not only won on Friday, but they posted their biggest win since August 29th (when they won 51-0). They put the hurt on Caledonia with a sharp 42-19 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Commodores.

Kamaron Pritchard had another great game (as he tends to do), rushing for 157 yards and four scores on only ten carries. His longest rush was for an impressive 56 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Lafayette was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 373 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since the start of last season.

Meanwhile, Pontotoc earned a 28-20 victory over Columbus on Friday.
