Volleyball Recap: East Union Falls Short of Vista Del Lago in the Playoffs

East Union and Vista del Lago squared off in some playoff action on Wednesday, but East Union had to settle for second. They lost 3-0 to the Eagles.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 25-13, 25-16.

Among those leading the charge was Bryan Zhang, who had three digs and three aces. That's the most aces he has posted since back in March. Aahan Gandhi also deserves some recognition as he had his first kill of the season.

East Union has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-13 record this season. As for Vista del Lago, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 25-6 record this season.

East Union does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Vista del Lago, they will take on Florin at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams are headed into the matchup with plenty of momentum (the Eagles have won five straight at home, while the Panthers won eight straight on the road), something that'll have to change.
