There's no place like home for Catawba Ridge, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Chester Cyclones on Friday, sneaking past 27-24. That's more bragging rights for the Copperheads, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Catawba Ridge didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. In fact, those interceptions all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut Xavier Gilmore.

When it comes to explaining why Chester lost, don't look at Caleb Feaster. Despite the final result, he rushed for 225 yards and a pair of TDs while picking up 11.3 yards per carry. Feaster also put in work on the defensive side of the ball, forcing one fumble, making five total tackles, and defending one pass.

Catawba Ridge now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Chester, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Coming up, Catawba Ridge will challenge Spring Valley at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Chester, they will face off against Saluda at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
