Baseball Recap: Priest River Takes a Loss

Priest River lost against Kellogg back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Spartans fell just short of the Wildcats by a score of 5-4. The Spartans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Priest River saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Layton Goins, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3. Another was Colton Kuprienko, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 1-for-3.

Priest River's loss dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Kellogg, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-5.

While Priest River had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
