Preview: St. Elizabeth Vikings vs. Tatnall Hornets

St. Elizabeth is 4-0 against Tatnall since October of 2019, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Thursday. The St. Elizabeth Vikings will be playing in front of their home fans against the Tatnall Hornets at 7:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

St. Elizabeth never got on the board in their matchup two weeks ago, but that sure wasn't the case in their game against Christiana last Saturday. They blew past the Vikings 46-12 on the road. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 38-6.

Jihad Brown got back to being his usual excellent self, as he rushed for 154 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 7.7 yards per carry.

Meanwhile, Tatnall had already won five in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 39 points), and they went ahead and made it six on Saturday. They blew past DuPont, posting a 55-0 victory at home. 55 seems to be a good number for Tatnall as the team scooped up a win with the same number of points in their previous game.

Rahshan Lamons was his usual excellent self, throwing for 83 yards and two touchdowns while completing 75% of his passes, and also punching in a touchdown on the ground. The team also got some help courtesy of Micah Stamper, who rushed for 67 yards and a touchdown.

St. Elizabeth's victory bumped their record up to 3-4. As for Tatnall, their win was their sixth straight at home, bumping their overall record up to 6-1.

Everything went St. Elizabeth's way against Tatnall when the teams last played back in September of 2022 as St. Elizabeth made off with a 26-0 victory. Does St. Elizabeth have another victory up their sleeve, or will Tatnall turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
