Van Buren had already won six in a row and they went ahead and made it seven on Thursday. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Shiloh Christian Saints. That's the third time they've managed to beat them this season, with their most recent win being a 2-1 victory back in September.

Van Buren had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 21-25, 26-24, 26-24, 25-17.

Despite the loss, Shiloh Christian saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Kennedy Brown had 23 assists and nine digs. Brown is on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 15 or more in each of the last six games she's played.

Van Buren's win bumped their record up to 7-5. As for Shiloh Christian, their defeat ended a three-match streak of away wins and brought them to 12-8-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Van Buren will host Harrison at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Shiloh Christian, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Bentonville at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
