Basketball Recap: Morristown Central Comes Up Short

Morristown Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were dealt a 73-29 loss at the hands of the Harrisville Pirates. The Rockets were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 33-12.

Joe Shepherd continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Harrisville, putting up 38 points. The contest was Shepherd's sixth in a row with at least ten points. Damian Hoinaru was another key player, earning 12 points.

Morristown Central's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Harrisville, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 10-2.

Morristown Central does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Harrisville, they will challenge Gouverneur at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Harrisville is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 56.4 points per game this season.
