Basketball Recap: Advance Takes a Loss

Advance was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were dealt a 70-41 loss at the hands of the Richland Rebels. While losing is never fun, the Hornets can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 376th, while the Rebels are ranked 130th).

Advance's defeat dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Richland, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record this season.

Advance has already played their next contest, a 64-49 victory against St. Vincent on the 14th. As for Richland, they will challenge Advance at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Richland has been dominant on offense recently, having racked up an incredible 200 points over their last three games.
